Musings Around Town

In the past weeks I've noticed that many restaurants are no longer packed like they used to be, probably due to the recession. Barney Greengrass for lunch, usually with a line of people waiting for tables was no longer full, nor much of a scene. The parking lot was barren. There were a few other diners at Table 8 earlier this week, although not many.

Palihouse last night was hopping with a full house. Their tomato tart was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed their steaks, burgers and deviled eggs. It was a de-lish protein fest. The scene is urban chic. The fab decor feels like the best of New York and Paris yet in LA. It is one of those places you can go to chill and feel suspended in time.
