Food Party
Food Party is a goofy new non-reality cooking show, really silly. In challenging times this odd little show just might be a fun diversion. It's on IFC and a few episodes can be found online. If you want to check it out, set your Tivo to record it on Tuesdays at 11:15 pm. Here's a taste of it on video:
Root Beer You Feel Good About Drinking
I tasted it (a few bottles) and it has my thumbs up. Really creamy and sweet, if you aren't already lovin' it, Margo's Bark gets the thumbs up for ingredients: natural spring water, evaporated cane juice, caramel color, citric acid, molasses, vanilla, clove, cassia, nutmeg, wintergreen, and yucca extract. No corn syrup. Before the root beer was even out in the stores, I was following Margo's Bark on twitter. Margo the dog twitters. She's a pretty smart (and cute) pup.

Rose Cafe's New Patio
Some people love Rose Cafe in Venice. Rose Cafe has been there forever. They are spiffing the place up (which was really needed). The shabby, ole patio had a face lift. Here's some info from the designers who have done jobs for some major restaurants (Kogi's Alibi Room and Melisse).
"As part of an on-going remodel at Rose, DEX designed the back patio around an old-growth Coral tree that has been a part of restaurant’s history since it opened in 1979. It includes a series of decks with custom-designed redwood benches built into a vertical screen of magaris wood slats that wrap up the structural framework. The space is perfect for a morning coffee or grabbing a snack on a breezy night alongside the newly-installed fire-pit. DEX also designed the Cafe’s parking-side façade with new landscaping, an updated color palette, soon-to-be installed signage, and innovative bike racks."

The only 'soda' I drink is the occasional root beer and I always prefer ones made with healthy ingredients so thanks for the Margo's Bark tip. I'll look for it on my next shopping trip.
