Two Boots is the first and only West coast location this New York pizza joint has. Located on Sunset Blvd. in Echo Park, they serve thin, NY style pizza. Some of their toppings have a Cajun twist. Hence the name, one boot represents Italy, the other Louisiana.
Win and I tried a couple of different slices of the thin, cornmeal coated crust. My fave was the cheese ($2.50), unsurprising, it's my usual choice. Win liked The Newman ($3.75), Sopressata and sweet Italian sausage on a white pie, a little too rich for my taste. For those of you who prefer things a bit fiery, try the Bayou Beast (BBQ shrimp, crawfish, andouille, jalapenos, and mozzarella) and let me know how it is.
Two Boot's funky decor fits right in with the area. Their huge mural is entertaining to look at while munching on a slice or two.
