My favorite bar in town, owned by one of my closest friends, Jonathan Chu, now has something else to make me smile. Monday through Saturday, from 5:00-8:00 pm is happy hour at Copa d'Oro in Santa Monica. Have a sandwich ($4-6) with one of their hand-crafted, market fresh cocktails at $5 each (really). They are especially good with Master Mixologist Vincenzo Marainella behind the bar. I love that there's a little history about the drinks on the menus. Who knows, you might even learn something.
