After lunch with Jen at e.baldi on Canon we went around the corner to check out the new sprout: M Cafe de Chaya on Brighton where Backstage Cafe used to be. As we were walking there we saw Eric Dane (Mark Sloan aka "McSteamy" of Grey's Anatomy) on the sidewalk talking on his cell phone. How odd, that was the second time I'd seen him in the past month. Last time was at Joan's on Third. Ya think he's following me?
Inside Chaya they were busy getting everything in place for Monday's opening. The two food cases were in place, but that's about it. There were no tables, food, just people hustling to get the restaurant ready for business. With the popularity of the other locations, no doubt this place will fare well.
I just thought I'd throw in this snap of the pizza Margherita I had at e.baldi. Just the basics, bufala, mozzarella, basic and tomato sauce on a thin crust. Tasty!
